here's the illustration i have done for the CLAMP FANBOOK, a tribute to Tokyo Babylon and my dear Subaru SUMERAGI  i just hope i'll be able to have a spot in the book. according to the Grand Master of the project and the official guideline, i'm still early so that's fine i don't have to worry, but well it hasn't been a very lucky month so i'm scared now haha!  tools: A3 bristol paper | pigment liners | PHOTOSHOP. I love all of the designs, and the city scape in the background!
i was really REALLY afraid when i worked on it as the CLAMP have been more than important in my life. i didnt know if i should draw a fanart 'copying' their style or something like that but well, if there's one thing CLAMP taught me is to try to find my own way of working and learn everyday; no matter the look, the design you use, that's the whole atmosphere behind an artwork that counts and i try to work on that everyday.
so i just went on with my own style and i think i'm proud of it, which is really rare with me
but as i thought i had mixed reviews among the CLAMP fans i know; the oldest fans loved it and the young ones were disappointed i didnt draw a fanart closer to CLAMP's character designs
