i cant help it, no matter how hard i try i always have to go away from my DA for some time so that i can have some work done and i really want to apologize to the sweet people who take time to write me comments! i save all of them so that's ok, they won't be deleted, but i feel terrible as it takes me months to reply


but the good news is that, despite all the trips and the fact that i've lost my old number and have to get a new one, i had quite a lot of work done these last weeks, lots of illustrations i'm going to post and of course lots of pages of "Enchanted"! it feels so good to see all these pages, i really can feel we're closer and closer to the release!

and i'm proud to say i've never drawn so many comics at the same time haha! of course i've got my french comics blog that's going to be updated this week, but i can now add 5 other comics to the list! i wont say much about them for the moment as most of them are going to be submitted to publishers and i don't want to jinx it, but what i can share is that "The Eye Above My Shoulder" - a very old project of mine - is finally started, and that i'm FINALLY back to my dear "Monsters Are Wicked... In Horror Movies Only"! two new scenes with Alex, Steph and Mr Count have been written, a new one for Abraham and another one for a character i haven't showed yet!

both should be webcomics, though i'm thinking about submitting them as well

useless news of the day: i've spent last week watching "Oniisama E..." again and again. no matter how many times you watch it, you always find something you hadn't noticed during the previous viewings, something even darker, more disturbing. definitely the kind of work that makes me want to go back to the time when animes weren't terrible...

it's been a while again since my last update, but with all the work i have done while i was away, i have to say that it was pretty necessary haha! lots and lots of drawings and comics are coming, but the big news for me today is that i've finally opened my personal website at VINCENTBATIGNOLE(DOT)COM!! so don't hesitate to take a look there, especially because that's where i'll post sketches, photos and silly thoughts as well!

i've also subscribed to twitter (username: happypumpkin) which i still have to understand, but i'm enjoying it a lot already!

ok now i should go work on my gallery here because i have a lot to send. i hope everyone's doing fine here!!

useless news of the day: i'm now the proud owner of the ATMOSFEAR/NIGHTMARE games #1 to #4!!! i've been looking for those games for more than 10 years and i still cant believe i got them now! especially the fourth one (talking about the main series so it's Erzébeth Bathory) as i had no idea it actually had been released in France. i cry whenever i look at the lovely boxes

as CLAMP fans have known for weeks thanks to lots of rumours, my ultimate idols, CLAMP, are coming to France for the JapanExpo this summer. and the weirdest thing is that i don't want to go. i really don't want to be that close to meet them and not be able to because JapanExpo will make you pay hundreds of euros just to make you pick a ticket to see if you've won the meeting. i don't think i can face people who don't care at all about CLAMP win these tickets and meet them, while i have to stay far with the books i dream to have signed, my "Card Captor Sakura"#3 (my very first CLAMP) and my "HEART nibun no Kyojin no Hoshi 2", a 1990 doujinshi they did when Tamayo-san and Leeza-san were still members. i think it'd be too hard for me... but that's good, at least it means i have to work extra-hard to be a great famous artist someday who'll meet them thanks to his work haha! and well, maybe i'll just go and pay the entry for twenty people just to have more chances to meet them in the end hahaha!

(oh and P'tit chauve if you read this, thanks a lot for your text it was really sweet of you to tell me! but you know me so well when it comes to CLAMP hahaha!)

except that i'm going south west tonight! back to my parents' house for a week, it's going to be great and peaceful... but i'm so going to miss my computer to work! but i've heard it's good to take some time off haha! and it'll give me some time to finally reply all the comments so i'm really happy. anyway, i'll have plenty of drawings to post when i'm back, many i've started but arent finished right now.

i'm not going to type a lot though, i had a fight some weeks ago and my right hand still hurts quite a lot. it stopped for a couple of days but it's back. maybe i should force myself to go see a doctor haha!

useless news of the day: i've finally found the complete series of "Chōjin Sentai JETMAN"!!! i just LOVE that one, definitely the best Super Sentai series alongside "Chōjū Sentai LIVEMAN". and i cried like a baby, i went to a garage sale last week and found a YELLOW CLAW action figure for 2 euros!! for those who don't know that, it's one of the mechas from "Ninja Sentai Kakurenjā", one of my favourite Sentai mecha ever! a totally Sentai month for me haha!

sorry for the lack of new drawings and comments recently! thanks to all the problem french universities have to face, my uni has been closed for several weeks and i've spent as much time as possible working (besides, with all the problems with my internet, it wasn't easy to communicate haha!) but that's great, lots of things have been done thanks to that, and now i'm starting to post again!

i'm also starting to take care of my DA as you can see below now haha! it'd be great to do the same with my website as it's almost finished and i never take time to put what's missing to launch it!

a very good news (for me haha!), i've just signed a contract with a young french society that designs cards for wedding and birth! i've already sketched several ideas i have and, hopefully, they'll let me put them here so you can see.

except that, one of my favourite shows is back on TV which makes me really happy. i'm talking about "Reaper" which definitely must go on so WATCH IT haha! the only reason why i'd accept an end is if Mark Frost succeeds to bring "Twin Peaks" back and wants Ray Wise to be part of it again. no really this is a great show. "Worst Week" is really good too. i haven't seen the original show but i'll try. i'm liking Horne's & Corden's new show as well. lots of Corden so i'm in heaven, and Horne is just amazing! i didn't know him this way but he's creating brilliant characters. i wont talk about "Desperate Housewives" as i think everybody knows i would marry Marc Cherry without hesitating, that man is a genius haha!

no, the real surprise came from the man i WANT to marry, my Master's "Dollhouse". i didn't know what to think at first. i loved the direction which is very stylish, i loved the writing, i loved the actors despite Eliza's too similar attitudes for her characters(at first!), i loved the idea. however i felt like i was watching a copy/paste of "BtVS". but the more episodes aired, the more i realise how fantastic and unique the show is! just like with "BtVS", what you see isn't what's important. it's actually pretty creepy, a very dark vision of humanity, its notions of emotions, desires, how to deal with them... it's brilliant. pure Whedon.

and now the best news, i'm totally hooked on Hikaru Utada's new album "This Is The One"! ok, she's one of my dearest singers ever, but it doesn't mean i love everything she does, far from that. dont let me get started on "HEART STATION" haha! but this one, without being her best, is just fantastic. catchy, crazy, sexy and very clever, i love it.

useless news of the day: i'm still waiting for my "Totally Fit" 2 DVD set to arrive in my mail box. Mel B, please hurry i so need you haha!

i just came back home after these two free weeks and i wanted to wish you all a very happy new year 2009!!


now i have to think about my resolutions for this year. i haven't really thought about them yet, but i'm sure that focus on work more than ever and take care of my DA, blog and websites are two of them haha!
